Pricing FAQ

Is there really a free tier?

Yes. The free tier includes 500 AI parse calls per month and unlimited manual quotes (no AI parsing) — enough for an individual estimator to use BoardBid on real daily work without ever paying. We'd rather you use it than not.

Why isn't there per-seat pricing on the team plan?

Per-seat pricing punishes you for adding the teammates who make the tool more valuable. We price on organizational capacity (parse calls, feature access) and include your whole team at each tier.

What counts as a "parse call"?

One call to the POST /v1/parse-quote endpoint. Manual quote entry doesn't count. Editing a parsed quote doesn't count. Re-running a parse after correcting the input does count, but typical daily use even for a busy estimator fits easily inside the team tier allowance.

Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime?

Yes. Prorated billing, no annual lock-in on Team tier (Business and Enterprise have standard annual terms). Downgrade and your account drops to the new plan's limits at the next billing period.

Do you offer discounts for annual billing or non-profits?

Annual billing: yes, typically 15–20% off when the public tiers open in Q2 2026. Non-profits and educational institutions: contact us, we accommodate case-by-case.
